Conversation Club

You already know more English than you use. The club is where knowledge becomes speech — two guided evenings a week in the most comfortable room in the academy.

An evening at the club

Sessions run Tuesday and Thursday from 19:00 to 20:30 in the lounge — armchairs, coffee, no desks in sight. A coach opens with a warm-up and a topic pack (this month: travel disasters, office politics, food worth queuing for), then the room breaks into circles of three or four.

The coach rotates between circles, feeding in vocabulary right when you reach for it and quietly noting recurring errors. The last fifteen minutes belong to feedback: five patterns the room can fix, written up and sent to every member the same evening.

  • Twice weekly — Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 90 minutes each.
  • Fluency first. Correction happens after you finish your thought, never mid-sentence.
  • Fresh topic packs monthly so long-term members never repeat material.
  • Open to B1 level and above — confirmed at your free placement session.

Common questions

How much does membership cost?
RM 320 per calendar month for all eight sessions. Members of any other CoachCare programme join for RM 190. There is no lock-in; membership renews month to month.
What if I'm too shy to speak in a group?
Circles are small — three or four people — and coaches seat newcomers with our most welcoming regulars. Most members report speaking more in their first session than in a month of ordinary classes. If groups still feel like too much, Private 1-to-1 Tuition is a gentler on-ramp.
Is my level high enough?
The club works best from B1 upward. If your placement session shows you are not there yet, a term of General English will get you club-ready — and we will tell you honestly either way.

Sit in on a session first

Book a placement session and we will invite you to observe a club evening the same week — watch one round, join the next if it feels right.
